Thank you volunteers and thank you to the many who support this Post! Mark your calendars: Halloween Party/Dance fundraiser on Friday 10/24. Adult Day Care Fundraiser, Saturday, 11/15. Dance Through the Decades Saturday, 4/18. Everything that is done here is done out of love for our Veterans and our Community! Join us!!
One of our volunteers, Hal, has purchased a table at “Rode to Victory” an Equine Therapy GALA/Event for VFW 6796 Veterans & their families. 9/20 in Roanoke. Learn more about their program: Horses for Heroes!

Week 08/18-08/24:
Monday 08/18: Dart Banquet: 7:00-7:30 pm start time. Our dart players are having their banquet potluck. Monday Night Dinner will resume next week!
Tuesday 08/19: Join in a free art class by Art Expressions every Tuesday to experience a new craft every week. Everyone is welcome to participate. Class is between 6pm-8pm. More information can be found here: https://nolimitsartstheatre.org/event-calendar/
Tuesday, 8/19: High Staxx Poker will be hosting two games with VFW 6796 canteen gift cards as prizes. Play starts at 7:00pm. There are two games on Tuesdays. It’s a $10 tip per game for the dealer. This is not for cash prizes.
Tuesday, 8/19 Dinner: Sloppy Joes, Cole slaw and fresh cut fries. $12 Serving begins at 6:30pm. Stay tuned for guest chefs in September! Exciting new recipes to come!
Wednesday 08/20: Join us from 6pm-8pm for Wednesday drink specials with $3 wells, live music, and heavy appetizers on our VFW Commander Test Kitchen Night! See what’s being served this week! Catch live music from local talent, Greg Hosterman!
Thursday 08/21 : COOTIE MEETING 7PM
Thursday night Dinner Special: Chicken Wings, onion rings, carrots, celery & dessert $12. Serving starts at 6:30 PM
After dinner, sing your heart out at karaoke hosted by Ronnie Ray. It is a good time and you will be impressed with our local talent! Ronnie starts the fun at 7:00 pm!
Friday 08/22: VFW Friday Night Dinner: Allison’s Amazing Meatloaf! You asked for it…you got it! Mashed Potatoes, Brown gravy Green beans, Dessert. $15. Sales start at 6 (from your bartender) and dinner will be served at 6:30.
Sunday, 08/24: Calendar Meeting 1:30
The Sunday Jam session will be from 3-7 pm. Local musicians and music lovers gather to make music in a group setting. Everyone is welcome to participate or stop by to enjoy live music!
