Thank you volunteers and thank you to the many who support this Post! Special thanks to Bryan Dreyer, who gave a very moving talk for our 9-11 Ceremony! Many thanks to our local firefighters from Fire Station 53!
Mark your calendars: Halloween Party/Dance fundraiser on Friday, 10/24. Dr. MRE Cook-Off on Saturday, 10/25. Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, 11/8. Adult Day Care (Martini Saturday) Fundraiser, Saturday, 11/15. Dance Through the Decades Saturday, 4/18. It’s football season! Come and watch the games here at the VFW!

Week 09/15-09/21:
Monday 09/15: Darts! No matter your skill level, come out and play! 7PM
Monday 09/15: Dinner! Sandra is back! Sloppy Joes, Coleslaw & Fresh cut Fries $10.
Tuesday 09/16: Join in a free art class. Art Expressions Workshops by No Limits Arts Theatre. 6pm-8pm. We need for everyone to register so that the instructor will have enough supplies. Register each week here! All are welcome! In September there is a special workshop with a guest artist on Dahomey banners. Bracelets will also be a focus this week!
Tuesday, 09/16: High Staxx Poker will be hosting two games with VFW 6796 canteen gift cards as prizes. Play starts at 7:00pm. There are two games on Tuesdays. It’s a $10 tip per game for the dealer. This is not for cash prizes.
Tuesday, 09/16 Dinner: In 1810, Mexico declared independence from Spain! Joann is making tacos, rice & beans to Celebrate! $10. Join us!
We are actively looking for volunteers for October Tuesday dinners. Contact Kelley or Sandra if you want to help! Grab a friend and team up in the kitchen to provide a Tuesday night dinner! It’s FUN!
Wednesday 09/17: Join us from 6pm-8pm for Wednesday drink specials with $3 wells, live music, and complimentary heavy appetizers on our VFW Commander Test Kitchen Night! It is his birthday! Catch live music from local talent, Greg Hosterman!
Thursday 09/18: Happy Birthday USAF
Thursday 09/18: Amy is making Spaghetti w/Meat Sauce, green beans & garlic bread! $12. Serving at 6:30.
Thursday 09/18: Ronnie Ray Karaoke at 7 PM. Come out and sing your favorite songs!
Friday 09/19: VFW Friday Night Dinner: It’s the third Friday of the month…THAT means Fried Catfish & Shrimp, Cole Slaw. Dirty Rice or Fresh cut fries! $15. Sales start at 6 (from your bartender) and dinner served at 6:30.
Saturday 09/20: Purple Heart Meeting 9:30 AM
Saturday 09/20: College Football! Texas Tech (17) plays Utah (16) at 11 AM. Texas (8) plays Sam Houston State at 7PM. Football on ALL DAY LONG! Inside and Out!
Sunday, 09/21: Auxiliary & Volunteer Appreciation Day! 2 PM- 6PM. Post Officers are cooking as a Thank You! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon with delicious food and company as our VFW members treat us!
Sunday, 09/21: Join us for Sunday NFL Football! Cowboys vs Bears 3:25 PM. Inside & Out. Did you read the part about the 100 inch TV? Come and see!
Sunday, 09/21: Jam Session
The Sunday Jam session from 3-7 pm. Local musicians and music lovers gather to make music in a group setting. Everyone is welcome! Thanks ZenBubba for bringing these incredible and talented musicians together!
